Scanning of the Acacia was completed in 2 hours, scans registration was completed on site to ensure all required data was collected. 3D As-built models of the existing Acacia cone were created from the scan data. New lower rotable cone section was designed and inserted into scan data of Existing Acacia cone for confirmation. Detail & fabrication drawings were created and the rotable cone section was fabricated and delivered to site on time for shutdown.

As this was a retro fit design to an existing OEM asset no drawings existed, the use of 3D laser scanning allowed us to obtain all necessary data to design a new cone section to fit exactly as desired.
Scanning of the Scrubber was completed in 2 hours, scans registration was completed on site to ensure all required data was collected. 3D Models of the Scrubber and the wear liners were created from the scan data, the assembly model was then compared to the scan data for analysis. A wear report was completed from the collected and processed data.

DELIVERABLES • 3D Model of Scrubber and Wear Liners • Wear Management Report including trending data, and forecast change out dates for wear liners.
The wear report allowed the client to identify high wear areas in the scrubber and also allow for better forward planning using the trending data, this allows for replacement liners to be ordered and installed when required, using accurate data instead of guess work.
